-- Checked Bürgerbücher 1319-1921, FHL 1676626:3-8.  Checked 1761, 1768, 1778.  Found nothing.  Do these Bürgerbücher represent only one entry per person when a person has earned his "citizenship"?  Or do people from the entire city get recorded each year that they reside there?  Check it out with s.o. like Sonja Nishiimoto at the FHL or Bärbel Johnson.  One of them should know.  However, the value of these records is not very high, at least during our point in time, as only the name and occupation are listed, not place of origin or birth place. I checked only film 1676626:3-8, not 1676627, which says they have Bürgerbücher 1736-1828.  Is this an overlap?  I assume so, but perhaps it could be checked to see if it's in some way valuable and to see of Christian Rossow is in it, when he might not be in it -- SRE, 10 Dec 2013.

-- A very VERY good-looking source is Stammrolle 1825, or military conscription records of all males in Garz, Rügen, Pommern, Preußen, Deutschland.  It is on 1344641:2.  This should be gone over extremely carefully, as it is thorough, has a birth place, age, date of birth, and other valuable information, for each male in Garz in 1825.  It might be a long shot, since our siblings of Sophia Dorothea HAACK would be probably in their 80's or 70's.  But one or two is all we'd need to hook up morer kids to Johan Haack.  SRE -- 10 Dec 2013.
