Josias was a soldier in the old Indian wars and once when outraged Kentuckians pursued marauding Indians across the Ohio River, Josias and Daniel Boone fought the savages from behind the same log in the wild Ohio counrty. Later Josias fought in the Battle of Tippecanoe and still later, he engaged as a soldier of the War of 1812." Josias and Dorcas had 5 childern and Josias and Fances had 12 childern. 1st born Richard married Nancy Haze and moved to Pike Co. Illinois in 1826. That is really where alot of us have hit the wall Keith...It seems likely (possible) that there is a link that would take the Wades all the way back to the late 1500's to a Captian Richard Wade of the British Navy...Unfortunately no one I know of has been able to conclusively link Josias to Josiah Wade (possible father) which furthers the chain a bit further if validated..., SRE, 18 Dec 2003.

The beginning of the Kudrna (Škudrna) family in Plichtice no. 1 (newly 6) is dated November 7, 1728 , when in the church of St. Kateřina in Horá Stríbrný nad Nalžovy married Jan Kudrna  b. 18.6.1690 from Tedražice with Dorota Pavlíková (Karešová)  b. 18.6.1702 from Letov. Dorota was the daughter of Jan Kareš from Letovy and his wife Kateřina. Of their ten children, the fifth child in order, Václav Kudrna b. 1.5.1869 († 15.4.1934) married on 26.1.1904 Maria Podlešáková b. 30.7.1889 in Čermná No. 10 († 1964 in Sušice hospital). 7 children were born from the joint marriage, Marie Karolina *25.1.1905, married on 16.11.1929 to Václav Šipla do Velenov No. 35, Josef *6.4.1906 and †31.10.1918 from the Spanish flu, Václav *14.6.1907, became successor at Court No. 6, František *16.4.1910 and †6.6.1938 (28 years old) - struma , Emanuel *9.5.1911 and †26.8.1911, Jaroslav *29.5.1912, married «policeman» in Prague, in in 1945 wounded at the barricades, Rmanuel *25.9.1916 and †11.11.1926 from tuberculosis . The children's father, Václav Kudrna, died on April 15, 1934 from heart failure and lung paralysis , his wife in 1964.

Second-born son Václav Kudrna, born 14.6.1907 (†6.2.1985) stayed at home in no. 6 on the farm and married on February 19, 1938 in the church of St. of Filip and Jakub in Těchonice with Anežka Svášková from Těchonice, born 2/2/1917 († 22/9/1994). Of their three children, the eldest  František Kudrna  b. On 22.1.1939 († 26.6.2012) he married Božena Kozlíková from Břežan, they had no children and they lived in Myslív no. 32. The second son is Václav Kudrna, b. 19.10.1942, married to Anna Přibylova from Křižovice, childless, lives in Klatovy (their only daughter Anna, born 24.7.1968, mentally disabled, died 7.5.1992 in Křižovice, no. 10). The third and last was the son Petr Kudrna , born 17/2/1949, unmarried, died tragically on 11/8/1994 at the age of 45 (was run over by a car while sleeping in a meadow!). In this generation, the Kudrn family disappears forever in Plichtice No. 6, and only an unmaintained dilapidated cottage remains.

The Kudrn  family was "famous" as a hunting young man, a drunkard, a poacher, and a murderer, who often stayed at the Nová hospoda near Skránčice, led a disorderly life in all respects, and even shot a manor's "fort" on the manor's grounds in Cihaň. His short but colorful life is presented in the two-part novel Světla by the writer Josef Hais Týnecký , when he depicts the daily life of the Forman Nová hospoda near Śránčice around 1860 , the birthplace of the writer Rudolf Mayer . One of the characters in the novel is Kudrna, a young hunter from Plichtice . Let's briefly enter the plot of the novel. In the «tavern, in clouds of thick gray smoke, domestic and foreign guests sat, singing, drinking, chatting and playing cards». One of them was a well-built young man in a hunting brown coat with green linings, smoking furiant virginia and toasting his fraternity with a plains gamekeeper. He was on an internship at a hunting lodge in Plichtice (note the former forestry in Šiplík, today near Jílky) and because he spoke as he would sing, they called him Ptáček , his name was Kudrna . Later, the forest lad Kudrna worked in Číhan in the manor's Novodvorsk district, he was sharp, cautious and had "done for fear", he was like a race against numerous poachers, he shot and the poachers ran away, but he himself was also a poacher with many love affairs. Kudrna himself successfully recovered after being shot in his residence near Kudrnová's old concubine in Vlčnovy. Čihansk musketeer Tomáš Tichý is fatally shot one day, the gendarmerie investigation is directed towards Kudrno, they search for him in the mountains and forests, but he disappeared without a trace. There were vague reports about him from Velhartice, Čachrov, that he fled towards Seewiesen, Eisenstein (Železnorudsko) and then no one saw him again. In time, the news reached the Municipal Office in Číhan from Kolinka that the former young man from Plichtice was no longer alive , he had joined the Bavarian smugglers and was shot by the customs officers near the border, somewhere below Roklan. It is only necessary to add that the passion for hunting, beer and coke accompanied  all generations of the Kudrns, not just the Plichtice.

The newlyweds become the owners of cottage no. 7 "U Pulců", completely without land and they are only cottages . Previous owner no. 7 Václav Pulec , an impoverished peasant , was "kicked out" of the cottage by the new owner, Vojtěch Karlík, and the new landlord in No. 7, Vojtěch Karlík, buys land with the worst credit rating to the cottage at a great distance in the Plichtice cadastre, but also in the Zavlekov, Velenovy, Zborovy cadastres and Hnačov.
