BIRTH: TIB says James stated he was born October 1818 at Lampeter, Pembrokeshire. 1851 Census in Llanelly, Carmarthenshire shows he was born at Llangynin, Carmarthen. Census would probably be best bet, though.

MARRIAGE: Another record says marriage took place in 1843 in Llangynin, but this one is it. Certificate in possession of Shon EDWARDS. In his marriage certificate, he is listed as living in Penquerr in Ilston parish, West Glamorgan. This area searched for his parents as well as his wife's parents in 1841 and 1851 census with no success. His are probably the ones in Llanginning 1841 and 1851 records. Hers found in 1841 and 1851 Llangan censuses. Sailed on Golcondo 4 Feb 1854 from Liverpool.

Elizabeth DAVIS [Parents]¹ was born on 12 Jan 1812 in Llangan, Caerfyrddin, Cymru. She died on 18 Nov 1881 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, USA. Elizabeth married James JENKINS on 07 May 1842 in Parish Church, Ilston, Glamorgan, Cymru.

-- Information Elizabeth stated about herself in the TIB said born at Sangam, Carmarthenshire 12 Jan 1812 with parents Lewis and Margaret DAVIS and baptism of Sep 1847 and End 16 Feb 1864. 16 Dec 1964 is a later End date listed. It would be extremely likely that an American, hearing Welsh "Llangan" would write it "Sangam."

MARRIAGE: Another record shows mar in Llangynin in 1843, but this one has to be it. Certificate in pos. of Shon EDWARDS. Sailed on Golcondo 4 Feb 1854 fr. Liverpool.
